So, you have decided you are ready to start; or at least curious enough to explore the concept of making your penis bigger. You have probably heard of stretching your penis and have done a few internet searches on the subject. If you look around enough, you will eventually find people discussing “more advanced” techniques like penis weight hanging. Is penis weight hanging really so “advanced”? Is penis stretching with your hands really the “best” way to make your penis longer? Is penis stretching with your hands potentially MORE dangerous than penis weight hanging? Let’s look at the facts and then, I will leave you to make your own decisions.
First, let’s take into account the reality that I have been around the online penis enlargement community, or ”world” since 1999. So, when I speak on the subject, I’m not just regurgitating some information that may or may not be based in fact. I have not simply read a bunch of posts on some men’s health forum and decided to call myself a guru. I have literally practiced what I preach and also helped more men than I can count over the years see similar results to what I have seen. As of April of 2020, I have increased the length of my penis two inches and the girth of my penis one inch. That was done over a collective time of around three years. I added the length with penis weight hanging and the girth through squeeze exercises and a technique called clamping. Subjectively, I have the equivalent of at LEAST ONE “masters degree” in knowledge on the subject. That said, let’s get to the facts.
Let’s talk about stretching your penis with your hands first. Also known as “manual stretching”. A technique of sorts that has been around since the very beginning of online penis enlargement. As it sounds, it uses just your hands. It is usually declared to be the best way for the new person to get started with penis enlargement. It is claimed to be safe, simple and you can do it whenever you get the notion to do so for a few moments. So, of course, it sounds convenient as well. You don’t need to pay anyone for a penis stretching routine. . It’s the epitome of a “win, win”. However, is stretching your penis with your hands really the best way to make your penis longer? Is it really as safe as it sounds?
Most who declare manual stretching as the way to go sell you on the concept that it can be done in “just minutes” a day. This is, from my experience true. You don’t need any equipment per se to do manual stretching. Your equipment, is your hands. You really do only need “just minutes” a day. However, how many minutes you actually need to stretch for when using just your hands is subjective. Mainly because, you have zero idea how much resistance you are applying to your penis. Here is the first, huge red flag with manual stretching. Again, you have ZERO idea how hard you are pulling. Take a moment to think about that. You have just decided to try making your penis longer. You have no idea where to start. You find a manual stretching “routine”. You are going to start pulling on one of the most valuable parts of your body. Do you really want to GUESS how hard you should pull on it? Because of the fact that every single one of us is a little weaker, or stronger than the next, AND we all feel physical sensations differently, you really cannot use a blanket term like “pull until you feel a good stretch” and expect it to translate equally to everyone who does so. There will always be that percentage of people who will pull just a little too hard and hurt themselves. It's simply irresponsible to assume everyone who reads about how to manually stretch will do so without injury. Granted, there IS always some risk involved with forcing tissues to stretch past their natural physiological size.
I favor the idea of minimizing risk when it comes to MY penis. How about you? I thought you would agree! You DO have half a brain in your head, don’t you?
So, let’s talk about that “advanced” concept of penis weight hanging. First of all, this is also a technique that has been around, literally since the beginning. In fact, we are talking way before the internet. If you do some digging around in historical archives, you will find depictions in ancient artwork of penises being stretched with vines tied to the subjects penis on one end and on the other, usually a rock. Thankfully, we have much better than vines and rocks these days.
With penis weight hanging you usually wrap your penis to protect the skin and maybe add a little extra girth for fit of your device. Then, you attach your device like Malehanger to your penis. In this post, I'm going to explain with my personal opinions based on around 20 years of experience and helping others like yourself learn about penis weight hanging, why you should not use a vacuum penis weight hanger.
Let's start with some basic information first. The picture above is an example of what a vacuum penis weight hanger is typically made from. These are known in (usually) Asian countries and in acupuncture related therapies as vacuum cupping therapy devices. Some opportunistic individuals started altering these devices and reselling them as penis stretching devices.
That concept alone should be your first RED FLAG. Typically, when an existing product is modified to be used "off label", it is not being used as originally designed and could therefor be dangerous.
Another type of vacuum penis enlargement device that is typically more familiar for most people, even if only due to a "pop culture", or Hollywood/movie reference, is a penis pump. A penis pump is something typically used for a quick "fluff" in size before sex, or as an erection therapy device given to a patient of a Urologist. A penis pump for safety reasons usually has a pressure gauge on it so you know how much vacuum pressure you are exposing your penis to and you can avoid injury from too much vacuum. This vacuum is often referred to as "HG" on a gauge.
How are these vacuum penis weight hangers applied to the penis?
You start with a non erect penis. Place your penis glans, or "head" into the cup area. Typically, you then roll a silicone sleeve over the lower area of the cup of the device and onto your penis skin to form a seal between the two. You then turn a knob on the top of the cup which pulls a plunger forward causing a suction inside. On other examples of these vacuum penis weight hanger devices, there is an attachment for a short hose which allows the user to via their own mouth (YUCK!) suck air from the cup of the device to create suction inside.
You then attach your hanging weight to a hook that is usually retro-fitted to the outside of the cup of the vacuum penis weight hanger.
This is where the danger begins....

These blisters occur when you exceed a safe level of vacuum inside the cup area of these devices. Once you apply your weight to your vacuum penis weight hanger, you begin to pull against the vacuum inside of the cup, further increasing the vacuum exponentially based on how much weight you are applying. Every increase in weight increases the internal vacuum and likelihood of blisters. Blisters occur when the vacuum inside the cup of a vacuum penis weight hanger causes lymph fluid to be pulled into the thin skin of the glans of the penis. First, hanging weights is a very simple
concept that has actually existed practically, since man had a penis. The first methods
started with using rocks and vines braided into ropes to attach the rocks to the penis.
Men would hang these rocks from their penises and over time, their penises would get larger. Of course, this is not the safest method for hanging weights. Thank goodness
for modern advances and devices such as Malehanger.
The next thing to understand about hanging is that you are stretching the tissues of
your penis. The goal being to stretch these tissues as close to daily as possible.
Eventually, forcing these tissues to stretch beyond the “point of no return”. This is a
concept that is well known in the body piercing community. Many of you have seen
people with their earlobes stretched to very large sizes. Once an earlobe is stretched
beyond a certain point, only corrective surgery will return it to anywhere near the size
it used to be. This is a very simplified explanation of what you are doing with hanging
Hanging weights will not always be completely comfortable. In fact, there will be
many times over the course of your hanging “career” that you will experience quite a
bit of discomfort. This needs to be understood from the beginning. Many men only
associate their penis with pleasure. Now that you are hanging weights and committed
to a larger penis, you must learn to accept some feelings of discomfort from your
penis. There is a big difference between discomfort and pain. At no time should you
ever feel pain while hanging weights with your Malehanger. If you do feel pain at any

During your first few weeks of hanging weights, you will be adapting your penis to
the new sensations associated with this method of enlargement. You will probably not
see any size increases for at least 2 months. This is because, you are getting your penis
used to hanging weights and also fine-tuning your technique. If you follow the
examples outlined here, you will see size increases and over time, be able to gain the size you desire.
I cannot tell you “when” you will gain, but you will. There is simply no way to predict when you will gain. It IS known that hanging weights works. All penises are basically the same
from a physiological standpoint. Therefore, all men have a similar potential to increase their
penis size. The main limiting factor is the mans approach and technique. That is where
Malehanger, and the information in this article come in.
Your first few weeks, you will be memorizing how to wrap, place your hanger and
adapting your penis to the new sensations associated with penis weight hanging.
This is not a race. Do not expect any size increases during this time. However, you may see some increases regardless. If you do, congratulations! A total of 20 minutes of hang time
per day is all you need during your first few weeks of hanging. After this
introductory period try to hang at least one more 20 minute set daily and go from there as your daily schedule allows. You don't need to hang every set back to back.
(Example Hanging Routine)
Please get into the habit from day one of squatting down toward your weights to attach them to Malehanger.
This is an EXAMPLE ROUTINE SHOWING AN EXAMPLE WEIGHT, YOU MAY START WITH LESS WEIGHT LIKE ONE POUND.
Assuming your week starts on Monday, you will begin as shown with 2.5lbs. The idea
is to hang each day of the week with the same weight level. This should not be a
problem at this point with this weight level. The sensation of hanging at first, will feel
unusual, but comfortable. Again, the first few weeks your goal is not a big increase in
weight. Rather, getting used to how you will be doing everything.
Monday: 2.5lbs one set 20 minutes.
Tuesday: 2.5lbs one set 20 minutes.
Wednesday: 2.5lbs one set 20 minutes.
Thursday: 2.5lbs one set 20 minutes.
Friday: 2.5lbs one set 20 minutes.
This is how you will hang your first two weeks. Take the weekend off if you want to.
If you feel like hanging on the weekend and your life permits it, there is no harm in
doing so. One of the great things about the Malehanger program is convenience! It
takes so little time to do your hanging, there is never an excuse to not hang.
Weeks three and four, you will up your weight to 4lbs.
On Monday of the third week start with 4lbs. The goal again, is to hang all week with
the same weight. As you continue to move up in weight you will have days where you
have to hang with a little less weight. That is normal. Repeat the above example using
4lbs each day of the week. Hang the same way again throughout your fourth week. On
Monday of week five, it's time for another weight increase. You will now move up to
5lbs. This is likely the first week you may face a little difficulty in making it through
the entire week with the same weight. This is good. This means your penis is losing
the adaptation battle. In other words, the hanging is beginning to work. The tissues are
stretching and you are beginning to cause what we will call tissue fatigue. I will
give an example below of how a week like this might look and then offer a solution.
Monday: 5lbs, 20 minutes
Tuesday: 5lbs, 20 minutes
Wednesday: 5lbs, made it through 15 minutes then had to lower the weight to 4lbs.
Thursday: Attempted 5lbs, had too much discomfort in penis, felt like I had to
hang 4lbs. Used 4lbs for 20 minutes.
Friday: Assumed 5lbs would be too heavy based on yesterday, used 4lbs for 20
In the above example the man is most likely encountering a common issue which is
attachment point soreness, or discomfort. The area on his penis where he attaches his
hanger is slightly tender and it makes him feel like he needs to hang with less weight.
He is using less weight than he could be and if he were to continue to keep this
mentality with his hanging routine over time as he continued to move up in weight, he
could be cheating himself of better gain potential. Why? He is not hanging as heavy as
he could be. He is also lowering his weight sooner than he needs to.
What is the solution? A very simple one which my friend (and customer) Dave shared with me a while back. In his honor I am calling this "Dave's Technique".
Going back to the above example, on Thursday when the man felt like 5lbs was too
heavy, what he should have done was go ahead and hang the first 5 minutes of his set
with the more comfortable 4lbs. Then, at the 5 minute mark, he will use his hand to
keep forward tension on his hanger, remove the weight continuing to keep forward
tension on his hanger, add ONE pound back to his weight and reattach the weights. (Men
using a slipknot/cord on your weight plates you will find it easier to have separate
cords on each weight plate when using Dave's Technique. He should now find it
much more comfortable to hang 5lbs, his current heaviest weight.
The best explanation we have for why this technique works so well is that the hanger
sort of numbs the attachment point of the penis. It's temporary of course. Keeping
forward tension on the hanger tricks your penis into believing you are still hanging
your set. When you add the weight back on, you have snuck on the extra weight.
That is honestly the best way I know how to explain why this technique works. You
will find this technique very useful over the course of your hanging career especially
as you continue to advance in weight.
An example of using Dave's Technique:
Monday: 5lbs, 20 minutes
Tuesday: 4lbs, 5 minutes, 5lbs 15 minutes
Wednesday: 4lbs 5 minutes, 5lbs 15 minutes
Thursday: 4lbs 5 minutes, 5lbs 15 minutes
Friday: 4lbs 5 minutes, 5lbs 15 minutes
This is a much better week overall. Rather than having to hang at a lower weight his
last two days of the week, the man was able to hang his heaviest weight all week. This
equates to a much better overall stretch and better gain potential as he progresses over
When to move up in weight?
Basically, after week 5, you want to move up in weight every week you can by 1 to 2.5lbs.
Any time you have trouble moving up in weight, use Dave's Technique. For
example, it's Monday on week 6 and you are going to attempt 6lbs. You squat down,
attach the 6lbs, and slowly squat up. The weight feels too heavy. No problem. Do
as above keeping forward tension on your hanger. Remove the weight. Lower the
weight to your previous heaviest weight 5lbs. Reattach the weight, hang your first 5
minutes with that weight. After 5 minutes, keep forward tension on your hanger.
Remove the 5lbs, add 1lbs and reattach the 6lbs. You should now find yourself
able to hang the next 15 minutes with 6lbs. Using the above example routine, hang
the rest of your week. You can continue to make progress this way.
Every man is a little different. Some weeks you will not be able to keep moving up in weight and that is normal. The heavier in weight you move up to, the slower your progress will
become. You should be able to move up again when you can hang an entire week with
your heavy weight after your first 5 minutes with the slightly lower weight. Note:
Never use over 5lbs less weight than your heaviest weight. If you do, you are
basically moving backwards and the jump from the lower weight to the heavier
weight will feel too overwhelming.

Progressive Hanging Gain More Size In Less Time

Many men get into penis weight hanging and using a penis hanger with preset notions. I guess you could say the same for men who approach other types of Penis Enlargement as well. Things have been done a certain way for a certain time, so that must be the only way to do them. Many men see results approaching penis hanging with a penis hanger the way the men before them have done it. However, a great number of men simply, do not. The old standby per se is get yourself a penis hanger and learn how to wrap. Once you figure out the basics of wrapping and penis hanger fit, your next task is adapting your penis to the weights. Most of us agree on the "low and slow" approach to weight progression.
It is usually advised to start with one to two pounds for a beginner's weight regardless of past Penis Enlargement experience. Penis hanging is after all, a "new beast". Most penis hanger devices like Malehanger grip the penis quite differently than a hand can, placing more pressure on usually a much smaller area. One thing this does is make the amount of weight used seem heavier than it is. Most men eventually figure out how to make decent progress on the weight levels they hang with. They add a pound or two per week for their first month or two. Then, the focus tends to (for whatever the reason) shift away from continuing to force re-adaptation of the penis to a focus on sticking with the current weight they have worked so hard to get to, and hanging much more time with it.
Many men buy a device like Malehanger and then work up to hanging six or more sets of 15-20 minutes per day, five days per week, and all with the same weight. Lowering the weight a little as needed when fatigue hits. However, when the following week rolls around again, it's back to that same weight from the week before. I have met men who hang upwards of twelve or more sets per day. They work from home usually and have the time to do so. Some of these men make very good gains with this approach. However, you have to ask yourself a simple question. The question that comes to my mind is "Who can really hang this much time per day???" For most men, the answer is "not me!". Not only that, but I do not care how much you multitask while you hang, eventually it gets old fast and Penis Enlargement, regardless of the type you engage in is not supposed to consume your life.
I think it is time that many of us take another look at what we are doing with our penis hanging routines. Have your gains come to a halt, or has it been more than a couple months since you have made a gain that you can actually measure? Do you find yourself hanging more than three days in a row within the same week before you hit fatigue and have to lower your hanging weight? I would like to introduce you to a concept called "progressive hanging". The basic idea behind progressive hanging is very simple. If you are using a weight level that does not give you fatigue to the point that you need to lower your weight by the second day of each week you are not using enough weight and need to add one to two pounds to your current weight. You continue to add one to two pounds until you find that weight level that requires the weight reduction by the second day of each week.
(Please Note, This Method Is Based On My First Hand Experience And Coaching Thousands Of Other Men Since 2012 And Is Designed To Work BEST With Malehanger)
A quick example of what this routine would look like using some EXAMPLE weight levels:
(You WILL Start With Much Lower Weights In The Beginning! A POUND or TWO)
Monday: 15lbs, hung 3 sets, 15 minutes each
Tuesday: 15lbs, hung 2 sets, 15 minutes each. Had to drop to 13lbs to hang the third set.
Wednesday: 15lbs, only managed 1 set, dropped to 13lbs for 1 set, 12lbs for the third.
Thursday: 15lbs could not be done, too much tissue fatigue. Managed 13lbs for two sets, 12lbs for the third.
Friday: 13lbs for one set, 12lbs for 1, 10lbs for third.
Took Saturday/Sunday off.
Monday start over with 15lbs.
So, using this approach, you start each week attempting to hang the weight you started the previous week with. You continue to shoot for a required weight reduction on the second day of each week. If you do not need to reduce your weight on day two, add first one pound, test that new weight and if you can hang it, try two pounds. Try to hang as much as you can that day with the new weight. If you are able to hang all three sets with the new weight, add another pound or two on the following day. Eventually, you will find the new weight level that will cause you to hit fatigue and require a weight reduction to finish your sets. You will notice, this approach focuses on three sets per day. I feel that with the progressive hanging approach three sets is plenty of time per day. That is mainly because, you are now focusing on reaching fatigue and forcing your penis to re-adapt every time it gets used to the weight level you are using.
Now, from my experience, a time does eventually come when you are not adding more weight every week. Sometimes, it's only once a month. When your weight progression slows, this is likely because the fatigue is being maintained for a longer period of time with your heaviest weight. You are still finding yourself having to reduce weight as before, but each week the reduction is still happening around the same day and similar set number. Believe it or not, this is not the time to adopt the "I've arrived" mentality. You will eventually stop seeing new gains. This is when you start getting creative and doing things like forcing a little extra fatigue. How do you do that? Very simple. On the first day of the week, go ahead and add a pound to your heaviest weight that you start your week with. Hang your sets for the day and use that same weight (+1lb) on the next day. If you are able to hang more than your first set with that new weight, you know what you need to do. Add another pound.
I'm not saying this is the "end all, be all" approach to hanging by the way. However, it has worked over the last several years for me and the men I share it with.
